About Amteco Quick Dry Varnish:

A highly durable, quick drying alkyd varnish with exceptional mar resistance and very mild odor. An interior product for the protection of softwood and hardwood timbers. This quick-drying, water-borne formulation has been developed to resist impacts, abrasion, hot water, alcohol, and a wide range of chemicals. It?s low odor and rapid re-coat make it ideal for wood work and joinery in sensitive environments such as schools and hospitals. This clear, non-yellowing formulation highlights the wood?s natural features. Superior sag control permits high build application with excellent depth and film clarity. The product applies easily by spray, brush or roller. It can be self-primed, or applied over a sanding sealer.

Typical Uses:

For use on interior wood surfaces including paneling, doors, cabinets, trim and furniture. Ideal for use in residential, commercial offices, institutions and light duty industrial buildings. Not recommended for use on floors.

Application:

Apply by spray, brush or roller (1/4 - 3/8" roller cover). Roll at moderate speeds, and avoid excessive rolling to prevent foaming. Apply two or three uniform coats at 500- 600 sq. ft. per gallon per coat. Avoid thicker coats. May be recoated without sanding after three hours. If not recoated after three hours, allow to dry overnight, then sand lightly and clean before applying another coat.

Drying:

Dries to touch in 30 minutes, to recoat in three hours and to sand overnight at 70°F and 50% relative humidity, and when applied at the recommended coverage rate. Allow longer dry times if cooler more humid conditions exist, or if thic
